Who is a better football player Rob Gronkowski or Julian Edelman is at least an arguable point. Who is a better Celebrity Player on 100K Pyramid? On Sunday, that proved to be pretty definitively Edelman. The New England Patriots' top player in the Super Bowl turned out to be the Most Valuable Partner on the Michael Strahan-hosted ABC Game Show.
Edelman bested his retired teammate twice, taking both of his partners - the former professional cheerleader from Connecticut and the football player turned scientist from California - to the Winner's Circle and helped them win a combined $16,000.
The categories were naturally tailored to having football-playing celebrities with zany reputations.
In the first-round they were:
U So Crazy
Heavy Lifting
Two Hand Touch
BoSox Injection
Getting Jacked
A Little Touch of KY
And in the second round:
Badonk-A-Gronk
Edelman, Edelwoman
Gronk if you're horny
The Julian of the Nile
Boogie Down Gronks
Put the Pedal to the Edelman
Gronk got off to a good start with a series of college party guy clues in U So Crazy, correctly identifying skinny dipping, streaking, orgy, keg and marijuana. But Edelman was a little quicker and more versatile throughout.
This wasn't Gronkowski's first time on a Game Show:
Edelman, who spent much of the earlier summer promoting his documentary, will return to football mode when training camp begins later in the month. Gronk will go back to making people wonder whether he's planning to stay retired.
