Belleville Henderson placed 10th and South Jefferson took 11th at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association's competitive cheerleading championships at Rochester Institute of Technology's Gordon Field House.

Both teams competed in the state's Division Two small-school field, which was won by Avon, with Wantagh, Le Roy, Keshequa and Eastchester comprising the top five out of 14 teams.

South Jefferson won Section 3's Class B title on Feb. 9, and Belleville Henderson took the section's Class D crown.

Also from Section 3 at states, Cicero-North Syracuse finished fifth in the Division One large-school competition.

The "fork" ratings are based primarily on food quality and preparation, with service and atmosphere factored into the final decision. Reviews are based on one unsolicited, unannounced visit to the restaurant.
