ASHDOWN, Ark - Students in Ashdown, Arkansas gathered for a parade of champions Friday afternoon.
They celebrated the state championship win by the high school boys basketball team. Students were released from school a little early to enjoy the festivities.
The band played school songs as students cheered. "We want to make sure that everybody understands you know, that we're all about our school and we're just trying to say that we're so proud of them," said cheerleader Jayden Altenbaumer.
"We need to show the community how proud we are of our boys for doing this and making history," added cheerleader Autumn Hofmann.
The Ashdown Panthers defeated Drew Central for the big win.
