Excitement has been building over the past couple of years among fans of the classic comics, ever since HBO[1] announced it was working on the series Watchmen. Produced by the man behind Lost and The Leftovers Damon Lindelof, Watchmen will definitely be one to keep an eye on. So how can you watch and download this new series online?
Watchmen premieres on HBO[2] on Sunday, October 20 at 9pm.
The show will premiere in the UK the day after and can be watched on either Sky Atlantic or via NOW TV at 9pm on Monday, October 21.
All of the nine episodes from then on can be watched on either HBO, Sky Atlantic or NOW TV depending on where you are.
Watchmen is based on the original graphic novel written by Alan Moore.

The 1986 novel focused on a group of superheroes trying to solve the murder of the Comedian, who was bumped off under mysterious circumstances.
HBO’s version is set in an alternate reality in America where superheroes are treated as outlaws and ostracised around the country.
However, there are talks of a revolution among some of the outsiders of a revolution while others are trying to stop it from happening.
HBO’s latest show will not be an adaptation of the original comics or have anything to do with the 2009 of the same name.

The show is rather a different take on the story, set in the same alternative world but with new characters.
The series will show various points of view with the only original characters ppearing being Doctor Manhattan, Silk Spectre and Ozymandias.
Watchmen will also focus on Detective Angela Abar who later becomes a vigilante called Sister Night.
The show will feature some familiar faces including Jeremy Irons, Regina King, Don Johnson and Tim Blake Nelson.

We do not yet know who each of them will play but we can’t wait to find out more.
In an interview with UpRoxx, Jeremy said: "What’s great about working with HBO is the pace at which you actually work is faster, which is very invigorating.
"And I never saw Zack Snyder’s Watchmen film, but I do feel that Damon [Lindelof] has translated the atmosphere of the graphic novel and updated it in a very interesting and actually loyal way to how the story is told in the graphic novel."
Last year, HBO president Casey Bloys spoke to CBR about the show.
He said: “I’ve read the script, it’s amazing. I’m thrilled, I imagine we’ll shoot that this year.”
Watchmen will air in the UK on NowTV and Sky Atlantic on Monday, October 21 at 9pm.
