The children could be heard yelling out their instructions to the officer.

'Stand up and stop them!' the girls chanted to the officer.

Seemingly overwhelmed at having to learn both the words and dance moves, Officer Neff asked to watch the girls first, as they went through their routine slowly for him

Finally, by the time Officer Neff was ready to perform with the youngsters, he ended up getting several elements of the routine wrong, sending the girls into fits of laughter.

'A special thanks to the cheerleaders for putting up with his two left feet. He will definitely be keeping his day job,' Monterey Police Department wrote alongside the video.
