Cheerleaders perform tribute for murdered Kenosha teen - WISN Milwaukee

Bradford High School cheerleaders performed a tribute to murdered teen Kaylie Juga Friday night. Kaylie, 15, was shot and killed in her Kenosha home in May. Her mother was also shot and survived. Martice Fuller, Kaylie's ex-boyfriend and former Bradford football player, was charged in the shootings. Kaylie's cheerleading squad performed a tribute at Friday night's game between Bradford and Oak Creek.The district originally wouldn't allow the tribute, in an effort to remain neutral for both families, but reversed its decision Wednesday. Fuller's brother still goes to the school and plays offense on the football team. On Facebook, there is a page set up in Fuller's name, that displays a photo of him in his Bradford football jersey alongside #Freedom4Tice. A district spokesperson said they had extra security and police at Friday's game in case of an incident between both families, although nothing happened. During the tribute, cheerleaders held Kaylie's cheer belongings and performed to two of her favorite songs. "It's very emotional. We miss her so much, like beyond belief, but I'm so happy we got to do it," said a tearful Gianna Pignogti-Wojtak, a Bradford cheerleader.Oak Creek and Bradford fans wore blue on Friday, Kaylie's favorite color, to honor her. "I've known her since I was born, so my family, we're doing this all for her," said Jenna Tranberg, Kaylie's friend. "It hasn't been easy, that's for sure. It's been really, really bad actually. It's been just really hard.""(Kaylie) was the happiest spunkiest person I've ever met in my entire life. Her laugh is something I will never, ever forget. She lit up a room every time you saw her because she was always smiling and so happy," Tranberg said.Along with the cheer tribute, there was also a fundraiser down the road from the school for the Juga family, a 300 motorcycle drive-by and a candlelight vigil.
