South Tama cheer squads have been named for the 2019-20 Football, Basketball and Wrestling cheer squads.
Tryouts for the 2019-20 cheer squads were held at the end of May. For tryouts the students did a group cheer, performed the school song and did two jumps.

The squads will be participating in a camp this summer led by Upper Iowa University Coach Tony Morris. At the camp the squads will be focusing on cheers, dance, stunting and incorporating signs and poms into their routines.
The Football and Wrestling Cheer Squads are coached by Chris Drummer and the Basketball Squad is coached by Allison Graham.
