Indianapolis Colts running back Marlon Mack and defensive end Jabaal Sheard, are scheduled to visit Parkview Field for the TinCaps game May 16. The players visit is part of the "Colts At Bat" outreach, which will be making an appearance in Fort Wayne for the fifth straight year.

Mack and Sheard will be available for autographs before the game from 5:35-6:45 p.m. and Colts cheerleaders will also sign autographs beginning at 7:30. The event will feature cheerleader performances, as well an appearance by mascot Blue and some free Colts giveaways. Fans may also sign up for one of the Colts Official Fan Clubs and register to win Colts tickets.

Fans must purchase a ticket to that night's game against the Lansing Lugnuts, which begins at 7:05 p.m. in order to get player or cheerleader autographs. Tickets are available at TinCapsTickets.com, the Parkview Field ticket office or by calling 260-482-6400.

A person familiar with Cleveland's coaching search tells The Associated Press the team has received permission to interview Denver assistant Wes Unseld Jr., who has been Denver coach Michael Malone's lead assistant for three seasons.

Christian Dawkins was cross-examined as the last witness at a college hoops corruption trial. Prosecutor Robert Boone confronted Dawkins with recordings in which he brags about his close relationship with several coaches, but he wouldn't back down.

Former Indianapolis Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney will be inducted into the team's Ring of Honor. Freeney finished his career in Indy with a franchise-record 107½ sacks – a mark later surpassed by Robert Mathis. Freeney won a Super Bowl with the Colts following the 2006 season and played in two more Super Bowls, one with the Colts and one with Atlanta.

Red Kelly, the defenseman-turned-center whose Hall of Fame career included eight Stanley Cups while playing for Detroit and Toronto, died Thursday in Detroit. He was 91. He spent nearly 13 seasons with Detroit and was the first winner of the James Norris Trophy, as the NHL's top defense­man, in 1954.
