Pitt-Johnstown's cheerleaders placed fourth in the nation at the National Cheerleading Association College Nationals that was held April 4 through 6 in Daytona, Florida.
The final ranking was the highest ever achieved by a UPJ squad.
The squad, comprised of numerous freshmen and no seniors, competed in the all-girl D2 intermediate division.
"These ladies put team before me and they have shown everything that I want in a team," said coach Kristi Clifford. "Win or lose, we would put this team on the mat every time to represent the university."
