SILVER GROVE, Ky. (WKRC) - Getting an ice cream cone means more than just a sweet treat today.

On Saturday, Dozens of people started lining up to buy blue ice cream at the Dari Bar in Silver Grove, Ky.

All proceeds from blue ice cream cones will go to The Lilliana Schalck Memorial Fund through Highlands High School.

Schalck, 13, died suddenly last month in a Columbus hospital after falling sick at a cheerleading competition.

Josh Ollberding, an employee at the Dari Bar, said it felt natural to help their neighboring Fort Thomas community...especially after recently suffering a loss of their own.

"It's more than an ice cream cone, it's the thought," said Ollberding. "It's the reason behind doing things you know. We're all humans and we want to be there for each other."

Maddie Allison and Kendra Sparks, both cheerleaders at Nicholas County High School, felt a connection to Highlands High school and Lilliana.

"We both cheer and seeing that another school lost a teammate meant a lot to us because we both could never imagine losing a teammate so we really wanted to come out and support," said Allison.

These special cones for Lilliana will be available at the Dari Bar until 9 p.m. on Saturday.
