LEXINGTON, Ky. (3/16/19) — Henderson County is home to one of the state's top high school cheerleading squads. The Henderson County High School cheerleading team finished second in the in-game competition at the Girls' Sweet 16 in Rupp Arena on Friday.
The Henderson County squad narrowly missed knocking off Pikeville and capturing first-place. Only 1.8 point separated Henderson County and first-place Pikeville. Cheerleading squads from each of the 16 schools in the state girls' basketball tournament competed in the in-game competition.
