Hannah Clingan '12 Looks to Inspire as Indianapolis Colts Cheerleader - DePauw University "I want to be a positive role model for girls in my small community and inspire them and let them know they are capable of anything they set their mind to," says Hannah M. Clingan, a 2012 DePauw University graduate, who has been selected to be an Indianapolis Colts cheerleader during the upcoming season. "A veteran dancer, Clingan joins 25 other cheerleaders who will represent the team field side and at public appearances," notes Indiana's Crawfordsville Journal Review.

The story by Nick Hedrick points out that, in a new initiative, the Colts will be "putting the spotlight on the professional lives of the performers through an educational and professional development program, expanded community service opportunities, new uniforms and opening the Junior Cheer program to preschool-aged children. Clingan is using the platform to raise awareness of mental and physical health. Clingan was also a local staple on the pageant circuit, becoming first runner-up Miss Indiana in 2012. After working in the environmental science field, she returned to Covington to work in the family business, Greg Clingan Auction & Real Estate."
