Kentucky teen arrested for death threats against college cheerleaders - New York Post

A Kentucky teen has been busted for allegedly threatening to kill a woman and her family — and the entire cheerleading team of a West Virginia college.

Tanner Wayne Rasnake, 18, was arrested Monday and charged with felony threat of terroristic acts, the Herald-Dispatch reported, citing criminal complaints from Cabell County Magistrate Court in West Virginia.

According to the news outlet, Rasnake allegedly texted the female victim menacing messages around 1:17 a.m. Sept. 1 and threatened to kill her, her family and the cheerleading team at Marshall University.

About two hours later, Rasnake video-called the victim and witnesses overheard Rasnake repeat his threats to hurt the victim's family and the cheerleading team, the complaint says, according to the site.

Later that day, the Marshall University Police filed complaints charging Rasnake with the felony and he was arrested.

Rasnake, who is not a student at Marshall University, was booked Monday into the Western Regional Jail on a $50,000 cash-only bond.

The victim's identity was not immediately released by authorities and it was not immediately clear whether she was on the cheerleading team.
