Three coaches of Tremper High School's cheerleading squad have been banned from a state competition after complaints about a banquet that included awards that poked fun at team members' breasts and buttocks.Kenosha Unified School District's superintendent said the Wisconsin Association for Cheer and Pom Coaches will allow the cheerleaders to compete this weekend to defend their state title, but the coaches won't be allowed to accompany them. "The ban doesn't impact students and we actually worked in collaboration to have another coach from another school district that has the proper certification to be on the floor with the girls," Superintendent Sue Savaglio Jarvis said Tuesday night following a school board meeting.The American Civil Liberties Union last week issued a letter to Kenosha Unified School District Officials requesting they take "corrective action" or face a lawsuit after the group learned of the inappropriate awards given to school cheerleaders.The awards, allegedly handed out during a banquet nearly a year ago, poked fun at cheerleaders' bodies.Awards highlighted by the ACLU included those named "Big Boobie" and "Big Booty."
