CHEERLEADING HONOREES - The Watertown High School cheerleading team had two All-NVL selections in Chelsea Barcial and Maria Tsakonas. Barcial was also selected to the CIAC Class 'M' All-State Team.

 COMEBACK KIDS - The Watertown High School Cheerleaders competed in the recent NVL Championship at Crosby High School. During their performance, there was an unforeseen circumstance that required the Lady Indians to stop their routine. The team had the opportunity to perform the routine again where the judges would start scoring the routine at the part that they had stopped. The Lady Indians, after a short pauses had to rework their pyramid section just minutes before taking the mat again, but managed to successfully finished their performance. Said coach Miranda Weidemier, "In a stressful situation, the team showed true perseverance, resilience, and teamwork. We couldn't be more proud of their accomplishment and most of all their relentless spirit." The Lady Indians placed fourth out of nine teams in the All-Girl Division. The Lady Indians also competed in the Oxford High School Spirit Spectacular on February 23, finishing third in the All-Girl Division as well as the Spirit Award. WHS will take the mat at the CIAC's Class 'M' state competition on Saturday, March 2 at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven, starting at 3 p.m.
