The third season of crime series Queen of the South kicked off on the USA Network in June this year.
Episodes air weekly on American channel the USA Network on Thursday nights.
The series follows Teresa Mendoza (played by Alice Braga), who after fleeing Mexico wanted by the cartel becomes the biggest drug smuggler in the South of America.
When is Queen of the South season 3 released?
Season three of Queen of the South started on June 21.
Episodes are continuing to air weekly and will finish with the finale on August 30.
There are 13 episodes in the total this season.
Queen of the South is an adaptation of the popular telenovela La Reina del Sur, which airs on USA's sister network Telemundo.
How to watch Queen of the South season 3 online
The first two seasons of the crime drama are available to stream on Netflix[1] in the UK.
But sadly, it looks like it will be a long time before season three is added to the site.
Seasons one and two are also available on Amazon Instant Video[2] at £2.49 per episode.
In the meantime, season three is currently only broadcast in the States as well as on the USA Network’s website which is only available in America.
UK fans will have to wait until the series is added to Netflix in 2019 unfortunately.
What is the plot of Queen of the South season 3?
The synopsis for season three reads: “Queen of the South tells the powerful story of Teresa Mendoza, a woman who is forced to run from the Mexican cartel and seek refuge in America.
“In season three, Teresa strikes out on her own, determined to build a new empire for herself.
“But as enemies old and new close in, she realises that being Queen will require more work — and more sacrifice — than she ever imagined.”
So far, season three has been the show’s most gripping run yet, with things only getting more intense ahead of the finale.
Who is in the cast of Queen of the South season 3?
Leading the cast as the titular drug ‘queen pin’ Teresa Mendoza is Brazilian actress Alice Braga.
Braga is also known or her roles in City of God and I Am Legend.
Verónica Falcón stars as Camila Vargas alongside Hemky Madera as Pote and Peter Gadiot as james.
Jon Ecker plays Güero and Justina Machado stars as Brenda.
