The Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders and a boisterous crowd welcomed home the Eagles after three weeks away from the friendly confines of Lincoln Financial Field.
Carried by a strong first half, the Eagles hung on to defeat the Chicago Bears, 22-14. It was the second half that made Eagles' fans wonder how on earth they would lose this game when they held the Bears to nine total yards in the first 30 minutes of play.
After two Jake Elliot field goals, quarterback Carson Wentz found the end zone when he hooked up with Zach Ertz for a 25-yard touchdown pass. A missed extra point still put the Eagles ahead going into halftime, 12-0.

Wentz was efficient enough, completing 14-of-21 passes for 128 yards and a touchdown. He also had one rushing attempt for eight yards, equaling the Bears' total rushing yards in the first half.
All the hype coming into the game was the return of wide receiver DeSean Jackson from an abdominal injury that would hopefully put a little spark into the passing game. The spark lasted only a few plays as he was taken out for precautionary reasons.

The second half proved to be slightly different.
Accuracy problems and dropped passes led Wentz and the offense to struggle as the Bears offense began to find their rhythm.
After a 13-yard touchdown run by Jordan Howard, which put the Eagles ahead 19-0, quarterback Mitchell Trubisky led the Bears to 14 straight points leaving the Eagles to run down the clock for another Elliot field goal with 23 seconds left in the game.
The Eagles have a bye next week and will host the Patriots Nov. 17.
