Welp, I knows Michgan is a strugglin' a little this season and it might be linked to a couple of cheerleaders who own a ranch together.
An Ohio State cheerleader who is from the South and she decided to git a ranch to secure her future. A Michigan cheerleader asked if she could work the ranch with her and the brunette said OK.
During the summer one of their bulls got loose and disappeared. Although they needed a new bull, they only had $500 and weren't sure if they could get another one. The Ohio State cheerleader said she would go to the market and see if she could buy a bull for less than $500 and if she could she would telegraph the Michigan cheerleader and tell her to bring a truck and trailer.
The OSU cheerleader found a bull for $499. With only one dollar left, she asked the telegraph office what the cost to send a telegraph wuz and they said $1 per word.
The cheerleader thought what could she say that would let the Michigan cheerleader know to understand the message. She got the idea and said, "Just send the word comfortable."
The telegraph operator said, "How will she know to bring a trailer with just that word?"
The OSU cheerleader explained, "She's from Michigan. She's a slow reader. When she reads it slowly, it'll say, "Come for ta bull."
Now that story is no bull.
Ennywho, last week wuz a disaster cuz I tried to pick a bunch of upsets and I should have knowed better. I went 6-5 and is now 83-27. I gots to try and rebound this week.
Ironton at Gallipolis. The natural turf ain't gonna be no advantage and ain't gonna be no miracle catch to bail Gallia out this time. Kicking game plays a big role with two Book field goals. Ironton 13, Gallipolis 7.
Fairland at Coal Grove: It'll be power vs. finesse and ya kin bet the Hornets ain't gonna roll over on senior night. Upset special. Coal Grove 27, Fairland 25.
Rock Hill at Chesapeake: Them thar Panthers just gots too much speed fer the Redmen. Rock Hill gotta eat clock and shorten the game. Probably won't be short enough. Chesapeake 21, Rock Hill 14.
South Point at Portsmouth: The Trojans' Talyn Parker will be in his final home game (baring a playoff game). They'll be sad on one side of the field but there'll a celebration in the rest of the league. Portsmouth 44, South Point 20.
Ports. Notre Dame at Symmes Valley: And the SOC and playoff push continues as the Vikings push the Titans out of the way. Symmes Valley 40, Notre Dame 6.
Green at Sciotoville East: If the Bobcats kin git healthy, this should be a good one fer them. Green 32, East 12.
OTHERS: Northwest over Beaver Eastern; Wheelersburg over Lucasville Valley; Waverly over Minford; Oak Hill over Portsmouth West; Russell over East Carter; Ashland over Greenup County.
