The Appomattox Raiders competition cheerleading team put on quite an impressive and spirited show Wednesday night at the Raider Jamboree held at the Appomattox County High School gymnasium.
The Raiders were joined in the showcase by four other schools, including cheer teams from Rustburg, Jefferson Forest, Brookville and Central.
The event was not judged by points and no winners were announced. However, it provided an opportunity for the squads to receive feedback from judges in preparation for the upcoming VHSL regional finals scheduled for Oct. 30 in Appomattox.
