Tonya Adams, the cheerleading competition coordinator, said it was one of the best gatherings in event history as many of the approximated 3,500 fair attendants came out for the event.

"There were parents lined up well before the gates opened for it," Adams said. "Although we had to reschedule the event from Tuesday to Thursday, this was one of the best crowds we've had and the community really came together. It almost brings tears to your eyes seeing people from all sides of the county enjoying an event that usually signified the beginning of the fair, but we moved it a couple of days and it was still enjoyed by the people."
