Prosecutors allege the shooting occurred about 5:15 a.m. McMullen and his daughter were the only people inside the house, according to police. The victim's mother, a nurse, was working a night shift at the time.

Before calling police, McMullen called his wife about 5:38 a.m. The mother left work, and McMullen called police, who responded a few minutes later.

Norman police Lt. Chris Vinson, the first to arrive, told jurors Tuesday the defendant was covered in blood and didn't act in manner consistent with a suicide or accidental shooting.

Karen McMullen testified Wednesday about being diagnosed with PTSD following her daughter's death and said she takes medication.

She also said she doesn't remember much about the morning her daughter died. She said she didn't think her husband shot their daughter.

"If you thought your husband murdered your daughter would you still be married?" a prosecutor asked.

"No," she answered.
