Week 1 of the college football season is not quite over yet. No. 4 Oklahoma will host Houston on Sunday night, while No. 9 Notre Dame will play the final Week 1 game versus Louisville on Monday.
Nonetheless, we have already seen enough impressive plays to compile our top 10 highlights from the opening week of action. In the only game of Week 1 between ranked teams, the No. 16 Auburn Tigers pulled off a stunning comeback against the No. 11 Oregon Ducks.
Auburn true freshman quarterback Bo Nix persevered through some unpleasant stretches of play to help the Tigers emerge victorious due to a clutch effort in the fourth quarter.
"He has some savviness to him, there's no doubt," Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said about Nix after the win. "Of course, when the game is on the line, you got to make plays and that's the one thing he showed. In all fairness, it was his first start. He went against one of the better teams in the country. In this kind of environment, he did some really good things. But when the game is on the line, he found a way to win the game. And I think that was real special for his first start."
Nix made our top 10 for this week, but who else impressed? Scroll up to see our top 10.
