LAKE COUNTY — A former assistant coach for the high-achieving Lower Lake Trojans high school competitive cheerleading squad was arrested Wednesday by Lake County Sheriff's Deputies.
44-year-old Joshua Scott Wade of Clearlake was booked into the Lake County Jail on Wednesday at noon after an arrest by a sheriff's deputy that morning pursuant to an unspecified felony warrant.

Joshua Scott WadeWade's bail was set at $15,000, and he has since been released.
Lower Lake High School Principal Cecil Edwards said Friday that Wade had helped coach the school's cheer squad on a volunteer basis along with head coach Angie Wade until the latter resigned after the 2018-2019 season.
In the past four years, the Trojans competitive cheerleading squad has won the JAMZ National Championship cheerleading competition twice.
The Lake County Sheriff's Office could not be reached Friday for further information on Wade's arrest.
