Mahendra Singh Dhoni is, quite inarguably, one of the most celebrated cricketers in our country. There isn't a child, aunty, or grandpa who hasn't heard of Captain Cool or worshipped his skills at some point in their lives. He's changed the way India plays its favourite game, which is saying something! Over the weekend, while Mahi celebrated his 38th birthday amidst friends and family, we were vicariously living through baby Ziva because this little bundle of energy is no less than any die-hard MSD fan and we approve whole-heartedly.
While the world showed its appreciation through adorable posts on social media, Ziva was a part of the celebration a little further away from home. Cutting the cake in London, Mahi, along with wife Sakshi and their daughter were clicked enjoying the wicketkeeper's birthday in an intimate setting. Even Hardik Pandya is spotted in a couple of BTS videos. It wasn't a big party, perhaps because of the ICC World Cup still underway, but all eyes were on baby Ziva. She not only cut the cake with daddy but adorably amused herself with the falling confetti. After a couple of super-cute boomerangs, which we've personally bookmarked under the 'need kids in life section', we think the celebration continued sans the 4-year-old.
Ziva has been a social media star ever since her first appearance on IG and continues to dominate Instagram with her swag. There aren't many 4-year-olds out there who aren't shy of the camera, cheer on cue for their dads, and know how to respond in more than 4 languages. For her dad's birthday, she bust out some cool poses for the camera which, TBH, are making us believe she's headed for an acting career. Wearing a 3-D textured floral jacket over her grey frock, Ziva's also winning brownie points with her sense of style. It was only in the last match that she was spotted wearing Fendi sliders which are so on-season, we cannot even!
In all honesty, Ziva and Mahi are one of the realest father-daughter duos out there today. One brings his exceptional talent and the other all the cuteness in the world. Together, they're not just the internet's favourite, they're ours too! We cannot wait to see Ziva cheer for dad from the sidelines ahead of team India's match against New Zealand!
