WAREHAM – Children from Wareham and beyond got a chance to learn a little more about cheer dances, stunts and jumps Saturday morning, courtesy of the Wareham High Vikings Cheerleaders and youth coach Raschel Pratt.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for $50 each, kids were learning from the athletes that lead cheers for high school games, dancing just for fun, too, and enjoying the warm sunshine.

"I can't believe I still know this cheer," said Pratt, as she led the kids on another sideline cheer.

Pratt led Wareham's youth cheer squad all the way to the nationals last year.

"It's a lot of fun, this clinic," she said later. "Not all the kids here are from Wareham, but hopefully they all had some fun and learned a little bit more about cheer today."
