Tony Gilbert, 54, of Shawnee. Gilbert went to Wellston High School, playing football, basketball and baseball. He enjoyed bowling as an adult.

Charley Rogers Jr., 78, of Davis. Known as "Gub" to family and friends, Rogers played high school football at Davis and then Murray State Junior College. He was a diehard Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Cowboys fan who kept a list of statistics for each team.

Rhod Buser, 82, of Ponca City. Buser coached the Purple Panthers youth softball team. In addition to his daughters, he gave fast-pitch lessons to other girls, often holding clinics throughout Kansas and Oklahoma. Buser enjoyed watching girls he mentored have success at the high school and college levels. A family obituary said Buser "spent many hours traveling from town to town to watch his students play high school and college ball. His face would light up with such joy and enthusiasm every time one of his past students would stop by to visit or gave him a call. He touched many lives with his love of the sport." The 1990 Oklahoma ASA Hall of Fame inductee was instrumental is revitalizing the ballpark at Kids Inc. in Ponca City. Long before his involvement with softball, Buser was a member of the Air Force cliff diving team.

Larry Wilson, 75, of Overbrook. A veteran rodeo cowboy who won many buckles and saddles for team roping. He won the East Texas Rodeo Association finals in 1980.

Steve Johnston, 75, of Tonkawa. The Shidler native's family moved to Kansas when he was young. Johnston ended up starring in football at track at Goddard High School. The military veteran enjoyed Oklahoma State athletics.

Mike Callis, 72, of Shawnee. An outdoorsman who was a archery marksman. As a young man, Callis won several state and national archery tournaments. The retired oil field welder was an Oklahoma football fan.

Marina Hall Bailey, 59, of Davis. She was a former cheerleader and softball player at Davis High School. Bailey played a role in forming Davis' flag corps, and she was also named basketball homecoming queen. She went on to play college softball at Murray State and Connors State.
