Voting is now open online for The Times High School Athlete of the Week, which includes student-athletes from several northwest Louisiana schools.
Fans of those students, their schools or their particular sport can vote at shreveporttimes.com under "sports" for their choice. Voting will continue through midnight Thursday with the winner announced on Friday.
Among those on the ballot are Byrd golfer Jake Marler, Parkway pitcher Hayden Knotts, Benton catcher Cole Horton, Calvary pitcher Cade Hart, Benton track standout and cheerleader Taylor Davis, the Loyola girls 4x800 relay team of Cami Miranda, Sarah Sihirath, Lauren Lindsey and Kallie Matlock, Green Oaks track standout Joseph Mason, North Caddo cheerleader Sarah Prudhomme and the Airline 4x800 relay team of Gabriel Cole, Goffrey Cole, Joshua Burns and Taejon Morris.
They were chosen due to their efforts during the later weeks of the school year.

This is the 36th poll since the school year began. The High School Athlete of the Week includes athletes from all LHSAA-sanctioned sports other than football.
