Smith-Cotton High School senior Jasmine Sims has accepted a scholarship to perform with the cheerleading squad at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg.
Sims, the daughter of Arthur and Freda Sims, was a four-year varsity cheerleader for S-C, earning letters each year. She also earned All-America Cheerleader status and won the Pin It Forward Award at the Universal Cheerleaders Association camp in June 2018. She also was a leader with Link Crew, S-C's freshmen orientation program.
S-C Football Cheerleading Coach Karmen Butler said, "Jasmine has been an asset to the S-C cheer team for the last four years. She is very respectful and kind. She has learned a lot in the four years she has been on the team, and she will be missed."
