The Hotshots cheerleading squads of Lori's School of Dance, Tumbling and Cheerleading of Madisonville went undefeated at a pair of competitions this spring with impressive performances at SeaWorld and Six Flags.

"We are so proud of them," said Coach Lori Hagaman. "To go undefeated in a cheer season is simply amazing and very exciting. The Hotshots will be getting their new squad together very soon and I am so excited to see where this program goes from here."

There are two Hotshot squads, a younger division that ranges from ages 5-11 and a senior division that ranges from ages 11-16. They consist of 20 and 27 members.

The SeaWorld event, which took place at the San Antonio location on April 6, was put on by Cheer & Dance/Drill Team America. The senior Hotshot squad won first place and Overall Champion at the competition for their hard work. Both squads were awarded Outstanding Showmanship, Outstanding Uniform, Outstanding Spirit, First Place Excellent Rating, First Place Superior Rating and Grand Champion.

At the competition at the Six Flags in Arlington, both groups were High Point Champions in their respective divisions.

"I am not surprised at all by their success," said Hagaman. "They work hard and want to do their best at every practice. Many of these girls are involved in more than just cheer, so it is hard to get full squads to practice each week."

This season has been a return for the Hotshots after a five-year break. Hagaman's studio, which closed after 18 years, reopened in 2017.
