LORMAN, Miss. – After a competitive two-day tryout, the Alcorn State University department of athletics unveiled its 2019-20 cheerleading roster.
Over 60 men and women participated in the tryouts, and 22 made the team. The roster consists of 12 returners and 10 newcomers.
"The department of athletics is excited about the upcoming year and this squad. There's a lot of great talent on the team," said assistant athletic director/senior women's administrator Jamea Adams-Ginyard. "We look forward to having a great upcoming year with this new team and we can't wait to see them in action."
