We analyzed every move in this MSU singing, dancing video going viral - Lansing State Journal

Sometimes, there can be too much content out there on the internet.

The initial idea of recording Michigan State basketball players Kenny Goins, Matt McQuaid and Nick Ward singing the school fight song, "Victory for MSU," probably qualifies as much, which posted to the NCAA's March Madness Instagram account Thursday afternoon.

It has nearly 150,000 views, so maybe it's the right amount of content, after all.

But if the video exists solely to allow Michigan State Twitter's one-man meme generator, Ross, aka @Crafty_Consumer, to do his thing, then this video's entire existence is justified.

But first, a quick analysis of the original video. Is Goins is the only one that knows the words (and apparently, the cheerleader/dance team motions) to the song? We're willing to believe it's possible that Ward and McQuaid were directed by the NCAA social media team to not sing. But also, maybe Goins is reading the words off a teleprompter.

Regardless, an A-plus effort from the senior forward here, and the music isn't very loud so his singing is on full display here.

Ward and McQuaid are along for the ride, choosing various dance moves and hand motions to varying degrees of success. It was an all-hands effort from McQuaid while Ward served as the hype man.

Again, I have no clue how they got roped into this.

But @Crafty_Consumer is here to save the day.

Ross used the video to create a number of hilarious memes. The best one: channeling his inner "Mean Girls" and imposing the Mariah Carey holiday classic, "All I Want For Christmas Is You" over it.

Or, if you prefer, using the 1985 song "You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)" by Dead or Alive for when Goins goes full cheerleader/dance member.

Also, Nick Ward is just happy to be here with Vengaboys.

On Friday, the Michigan State men's basketball Twitter account posted a photo of Goins playing the saxophone. Kenny G, get it?

But also, that led to two more amazing tweets from Ross.

Personally, I would've preferred "Baker Street," but that is probably too basic and obvious.

Some of the other good memes:

The biggest takeaway from all this: You should follow @Crafty_Consumer on Twitter if you're a Michigan State sports fan.
