WHITEVILLE — Four selections each from West Bladen and East Bladen have been named the best in the Three Rivers Conference.
The league president, David Smith of Whiteville High School, made the announcement on Friday morning. Picks from each of the league's 10 schools included two for football and two for basketball.
From West Bladen, Katelyn Willoughby and Makaylie Hammonds were chosen for basketball season and Tara Rogers and Ashley Hickman were picked for football season.
From East Bladen, Hannah Wheeless and Brianna Johnson were the picks from basketball season, and Sarah Meares and Dyneshia Owens were chosen for football season.
The other basketball selections included Autumn Johnson and Arianna Daniels of East Columbus, Marayah Watson and Destiny Hill of Fairmont, Precious Murray and Trinity Murray of Red Springs, Kiersten Aguilera and Hayla Watts of South Columbus, Nadia McNair and Jah-Miyah Shephard of South Robeson, Jordan Matthews and Nasira Robinson of St. Pauls, Jada Faison and Lexi Hunt of West Columbus, and Anna Walker and Lexie Gore of Whiteville.
Football choices included Jazyme Brown and Savannah Quick of East Columbus, Jamesha Howell and Faith Johnson of Fairmont, Precious Murray and A'Nilya McRae of Red Springs, Ireland Lewis and Madison Norris of South Columbus, Amare Leach and Valeria Young of South Robeson, Jaida Allen and Qua'Dajah Patterson of St. Pauls, Jessica Griffin and Baylee Haynes of West Columbus, and Jade Bass and Carrie-Ann Wilkins of Whiteville.
