Syracuse University announces promotional days for 2019 football season - WSYR

SYRACUSE, N.Y.  (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse University Athletics has set the promotional days for the Orange's six 2019 home football games.
 
Syracuse vs. Clemson – Sept. 14
Homecoming/Orange Central
Join other alumni groups and meet up with old friends when Syracuse hosts the defending national champions during Orange Central Weekend. This year's milestone reunion classes are: 1959 (60th), 1969 (50th), 1975 (44th), 1984 (35th), 1994 (25th) and 2009 (10th). Orange Central will also honor the first 150 years of Syracuse University's proud history as part of the campus community's yearlong sesquicentennial celebration.Fans are encouraged to wear their favorite orange Syracuse-themed gear to the game for an "Orange Out". In addition, Syracuse will retire all-time sack leader Tim Green's No. 72 jersey at halftime.Syracuse vs. Western Michigan – Sept. 21
Military Appreciation Day

The football program's ninth annual Military Appreciation Day includes multiple recognitions of our servicemen and women. Active military personnel, veterans, and their families who qualify are eligible for complimentary tickets through the 'Cuse for the Troops program. To sponsor tickets for active and retired military members, fans should call 888-DOME-TIX Ext. 2.Syracuse will also offer first responders and medical professionals a special group ticket rate as a thank you for keeping the citizens of Central New York safe and healthy. The package includes a ticket to the game, pre-game field access and post-game photos.Syracuse vs. Holy Cross – Sept. 28
Cheer and Dance Day 

Against Holy Cross, the Orange will have additional support in the form of area cheerleading and dance teams. The Syracuse University Cheerleaders and Lady Orange Dancers will host a pre-game clinic on the Quad. Those in attendance will learn Syracuse cheers and a routine during the clinic. Participants will then join the Syracuse Cheerleaders and Lady Orange Dancers on the field at halftime to help pump up the crowd for the second half. Family Weekend

Hosted by the Syracuse University Parents Office, Family Weekend invites friends and family of current students to partake in campus events, including the football game, class lectures and more.Syracuse vs. Boston College – Nov. 2
Faith and Family Day/Youth Football Day/Band Day 

Faith and Family Day is a partnership between the University's Hendricks Chapel and Syracuse Athletics. It features pre-game gathering in Hendricks Chapel, followed by activities on the Quad and special seating for the game. The Hendricks Chapel choir will sing the national anthem. Participants will be invited onto the field after the game for photos and have the opportunity to interact with Syracuse student-athletes who are members of faith-based groups.Youth football players and their teams are invited to the game. Coaches of youth teams should call 888-DOME-TIX to secure discounted tickets for their party. Syracuse will also recognize the area's many outstanding high school bands versus the Eagles. Local bands are invited to perform with the Syracuse University Marching Band – the "Pride of the Orange" – at halftime. Participants receive a ticket to the game. A pre-game rehearsal will take place on the Quad. Band directors should call 888-DOME-TIX to register their band and receive a game itinerary and music.

Senior Day

The football program's 2019 seniors will be honored in a ceremony prior to the game and take one last lap around the Carrier Dome after the contest.All area high school students and staff are eligible for discounted tickets as part of Syracuse's "Home for the Holidays" offer. In addition, the home finale against the Demon Deacons is a great opportunity for high school students to visit the campus and enjoy the sight and sounds of Syracuse University.
