BLH Cheer team places at state competition - The Herald Journal

On Monday, April 1st, Bear Lake High School had an assembly to welcoming the cheer team and the academic-decathlon team home from state. The assembly also included a performance from the show choir.

A small squad of five of the best cheerleaders that the high school has to offer went to state to compete, during the assembly they performed their stunt routine which included a dazzling array of throws, balancing acts and quick transitions. The cheer squad ended up placing third in the state which is an amazing achievement and a testament to the talent of Bear Lake High School's cheerleaders. 

Bear Lake's academic-decathlon went to state as well.

 Although the team did not place as a group, some students placed as individuals in the honors category, these students include Jasa Strong, Declan Nunn, and Aurore Debray. For these students, this is a fantastic accomplishment and honors. Bear Lake High School is very proud of their academic achievements. 

The Bear Lake show choir has been preparing for months for their next performance routine which includes songs from the famous band, the Beatles. The show choir gave the high school a sneak peek of some of their songs on Monday and the students at the school are so excited to see the whole thing in the upcoming weeks.
