A popular saying among those involved in the real estate business is "Location, Location, Location."
For Ardmore Tigerettes member Carley Lankford, while her dream is to be a real estate agent in the future, her phrase during her time in high school would be "Dedication, Dedication, Dedication."
"I love dancing," Lankford said. "Dancing is everything to me. Having had the chance to represent my school through pom has meant the world to me. People look up to you when you are a member of the pom squad and you command a certain level of respect because of how much people look up to you."
As a four year member of the Tigerettes, Lankford has experienced everything possible as a member of the squad.
This season she added a special title to her resume as she was named as a UDA All-American selection, which happened at Dance Camp over the summer.
"I'm really glad I've gotten to dance for four years as a member of this program," Lankford said. "Being named an All-American was super special to me. It was probably one of the most special things I've ever accomplished in my life. I really have to thank my coach Morgan (Manley) for helping me achieve that because I didn't want to do it at first, and she pushed me to do it. I'm thankful she did,"
Aside from being a member of the Tigerettes, Lankford has also been a member of the National Honor Society, as well as a four-year member of Student Council.
She is also on the prom and formal committees, and is a two-year member of leaflets.
In the community she has volunteered at her church for several events as well as at local soup kitchens and has also rang the bell during the holidays.
Lankford currently sports an overall GPA of 3.75.
"I try to be very precise when planning my schedule," Lankford said. "My biggest thing is making sure I have time for everything. Putting reminders on my phone also helps keep me going with everything I've got going on."
This past December, Lankford added another title to her resume, when she was named to the All-Ardmoreite cheer team for 2018-19. Having already left her legacy in multiple ways at Ardmore High School, Carley said she plans on making more history by winning the Cheerleader of the Year award.
"Winning the award would be super special to me," she said. "Whether people look at us as cheer or pom, we're still representing a group of people. Having the chance to be that person would be very special to me."
Carley plans to attend the University of Oklahoma in the fall and majoring in business and marketing.
The Best of the Arbuckles Preps banquet will take place on May 21st.
