COUNTDOWN's Rachel Riley has been accused of "prostituting her religion" by a Labour member in a sickening Twitter rant.
Bob James, from North Wales, also accused the TV presenter of "poisoning the memory of your ancestors" after she was vocal about anti-Semitism in Jeremy Corbybn's party.
Countdown's Rachel Riley has been accused of 'prostituting her religion' by a Labour member in a sickening Twitter rantThe 32-year-old star has been attacked by left-wing trolls in the past after sharing links which criticised the Labour leader.
James have since been suspended by the party as a result of the offensive tweets.
He made the vile comments back in December and said: "You have prostituted your religion, poisoning the memory of your ancestors who suffered greatly."
A month later, the Alyn and Deeside Labour constituent member tweeted: "I think Riley is using her influence as a popular celebrity to undermine the Labour party.
"Her method, though, using her Jewish heritage to promote self-interest, is appalling.
Are you an official Labour spokesperson, Bob, or just a big cheerleader?"
Rachel Riley
"Riley has been open about her dislike of Corbyn… You have to hand it to the Tory party for getting her to risk her career for 30 pieces of silver."
She eventually replied and asked: "Are you an official Labour spokesperson, Bob, or just a big cheerleader?"
James, a North Wales activist, previously said: "Israel is using the Holocaust as an excuse for murder."
It comes just days before Labour learn if the party will face a full-scale investigation by the Equality and Human Rights Commission over their handling anti-Semitic allegations.
In September, we revealed Corbyn supporters called Ms Riley "shallow and mendacious", but she refused to join them in a slagging match.
She replied: "Much as I appreciate being called Tory, brainwashed and thick, I don't have any party loyalties, I form my opinions based on available evidence.
"Religion wise, I choose Man United. Life wise I choose the options without intolerance, hatred and fear. #AntiSemitism."
However, this did little to calm the trolls who ordered her to "stick to adding up" and accused the presenter and maths whizz of "spreading sick propaganda".
