SUNY Canton adds coed program to lineup
CANTON — SUNY Canton announced the addition of coed cheerleading to its athletic program and the hiring of Joey Boswell to coach the program.
Cheerleading is SUNY Canton's second coed athletic program, joining esports.
Boswell is a certified cheerleading coach and judge with experience leading high school and collegiate cheerleaders in St. Lawrence and Jefferson counties and the Syracuse region. He was assistant cheerleading coach at his alma mater, SUNY Potsdam, from 2014-17.
SUNY Canton students have started practicing for next year's season and tryouts for next year's team will be held in the fall.
The "fork" ratings are based primarily on food quality and preparation, with service and atmosphere factored into the final decision. Reviews are based on one unsolicited, unannounced visit to the restaurant.
