Cape Breton cheerleaders heading to Florida - Cape Breton Post

SYDNEY, N.S. —

The Cape Power Cheerleading Blackout competed in the Atlantic Showdown Feb. 16-17 in Saint John, N.B. Out of four teams competing, the Blackout Level 6 co-ed team was awarded a partial paid bid of $4,000 to compete at the World Cheerleading Championship in Orlando, Fla., the highest award at the competition.

The cost per athlete is around $2,000 and the team is looking for sponsorships. Anyone interested can email coach Marcie McPhee at capepower2012@hotmail.com.
