Parents across Central Indiana may now sign their daughters up to hang out with the Indianapolis Colts cheerleaders for seven months.
Registration for the Junior Colts Cheerleader Program, for girls ages 6 to 14, is now open, as is registration for a new preschool program for girls ages 3 to 5.
The Preschool Cheerleading Program will debut this summer, and is designed to prepare girls for the Junior Colts Cheerleader Program. Girls in both programs will also have the opportunity to perform in front of thousands of Colts fans at one of the team's home games (one game for the preschool cheerleaders; several for the junior girls). Dates for performances are to be determined.

Both programs will run from June to December. They are designed to teach participants not only the fundamentals of cheer and dance, but also the community and public relations aspects of being an Indianapolis Colts cheerleader. The programs promote "positive self-esteem, respect, dedication and discipline," according to the website.

Tuition for the Junior Colts Cheerleading program is $250, and tuition for the Preschool Cheerleading Program is $175. You can get a $25 discount for both camps by paying in full on the day of registration. There is also a $25 registration fee.
Extra expenses for the program include cheer gear and picture day. Those are not included in the price of tuition.
